Cultivating Joy One Bouquet at a Time

Joy Petalers upcycles donated flowers into handcrafted bouquets that bring comfort, connection, and beauty to individuals experiencing illness, loneliness, or hardship and messages of appreciation to individuals working in public service across the St. Louis community.

At Joy Petalers, flowers are more than beautiful. They are a way to connect, encourage, and remind people they are valued.

We collaborate with florists, retailers, wholesalers, wedding and event hosts, and other community partners who donate flowers that would otherwise be discarded. Our Floristas repurpose these donations into bouquets that are delivered to hospitals, senior care communities, hospices, shelters, schools, and individuals who serve our community. Every arrangement carries a simple message: you are important and appreciated.

Why Joy Petalers Matters

We create immediate, visible joy for recipients.

We help reduce isolation and loneliness through personal connection.

We give flowers a second life instead of sending them to the trash.

We provide meaningful volunteer experiences for people of all ages.

Joy is shared in every direction.

For nursing home residents, bouquets can brighten their day.

For hospice patients and their families, bouquets can provide comfort and condolence.

For cancer patients getting infusions or radiation, bouquets can provide a moment of joy during times of great stress.

For nurses, teachers, caregivers, and others who support our communities, bouquets can convey appreciation and encouragement.

Floral donors are able to extend the beauty of their events by spreading joy into the community.

And for volunteers, Joy Petalers provides a chance to create, connect, and serve.
